The award for Best Short Film at the BEYOND Festival 2025 goes to ‘Captured’ by director Knut Kuhle.
Reason: A young woman creates a digital image of herself and her art. Fascinated by the possibility of changing and improving this digital self, she ultimately fails due to her self-imposed compulsion for perfection. Captured tells the story of the dialogue between two versions of the protagonist as an impressively staged musical with an emotional journey through musical genres and intense choreography – virtuoso not only in the music, but also in the actress's interaction with the camera.
