This year's award ceremony will take place on Sunday evening at 9 p.m. Afterwards, the Filmbüro Franken will present a selection of award-winning Franconian short films that it has supported.

‘We want to support independent filmmakers in the Middle Franconia region and attract a wide audience for their work. The aim is to offer artists an opportunity to develop their talents free from constraints. Through connections to public institutions, cooperation with regional and national filmmakers, and contacts with the press and cultural policy makers, we create a framework for independent and artistically self-sufficient productions.’ Filmbüro Franken
This will be followed by a discussion on how to improve and strengthen production conditions for film artists in Franconia, especially in rural areas.
Participants will include Torsten De Souza Santos, chairman of Filmbüro, Stephan Hilbert, professor of ‘Moving Image / Dramaturgy and Directing’ at Ansbach University of Applied Sciences, and members of the artist collective Halbweltmedia from Dinkelsbühl.
