On a winter night, two travellers are stranded at a train station. Their connecting train is delayed, and they decide to use the unexpected wait for a quick bite to eat.
Crossing a small park in front of the station, they reach a McDonald’s. An ugly, nondescript place – seemingly like any other. But behind the familiar façade, they suddenly encounter an everyday reality that is fundamentally different from their own.
A short film about perception and normality – and about the unexpected worlds hidden behind the everyday.

Rocas Wille
Rocas Wille was born in Frankfurt am Main in 2002 and completed his secondary education in Mannheim in 2019. He is a filmmaker and media artist and studies media art at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design (HfG).
Alongside film, he works continuously with painting, drawing, sculpture and text. In his artistic practice, he often engages critically with capitalism, the state and the market economy. For him, it is not only about critique, but also about the search for positive alternatives: visions of a more humane future, contemporary anti-capitalist practices, alternative forms of human relationships and the question of whether a good life is possible.
