“The Rift” is an animated documentary about the COVID-19 pandemic in Germany - told through real, anonymous voices and hauntingly crafted puppet characters. It offers intimate, often unsettling insights into a fractured society caught in a state of emergency.
Director Biography - Marlin van Soest
Marlin van Soest was born in 1988 in Tübingen, Germany. He studied illustration, focusing on comic journalism. Later on, he began bringing his reports to life through stop-motion animation.
